E Ola Mau Kāhilikū

Kāhilikū was dedicated to Lucy Kāhilikūikeola Kama. She had Trisomy 18, a chromosomal abnormality. The mana'o behind her name gives Kāhilikū meaning and purpose. Just as a vertical rainbow goes from the ground, upward. It also seems like a bridge between our place on earth and our place somewhere in the heavens. We also believe that rainbows signifies God's promise to us. That no matter what difficulties we are going through, that there is always a rainbow after a storm. Just as Lucy's life was, she has overcame so many obstacles in her life and left us with so many memories of love, lessons, and triumph. E MAU LOA AKU, Kāhilikū.
